These are the official rules that govern 24 Days of Holiday Giveaways. By entering the giveaway, the Participant (the “Participant”) agrees to be bound by the following Giveaway Rules and any decision made by the Sponsor in relation to the Giveaway, which shall be final and binding on all Participants. 

How it Works  

1. Every day for 24 consecutive days (December 01, 2021 – December 24, 2021) a giveaway event will be posted on Canada Computers’ Facebook (Canada Computers), Instagram (@canadacomputers), and Twitter (@CC_Deals) pages.  

2. Canada Computers will feature NEW prize/s every day. 

3. Each giveaway event will be posted at 10:00 a.m. EST and close at 11:59 p.m. EST. Participants must submit their entries until 11:59 p.m. on the same day of posting to have a valid entry. A teaser will be included at the end of the video for the next day’s prize. 

4. Lucky winner/s will be announced the next day at 07:00:00 p.m EST.  

5. Participants who submitted entries on any of the giveaway events from December 1 to 23, 2021 will be qualified for the December 24 post’s grand giveaway. The winner of the grand prize will be announced the next day, December 25, 2021.

8. For a chance to win the prize displayed in the giveaway post, the participant must Like the post, tag a friend, and answer the question on that specific giveaway post.

In order to qualify to win the prize on Day 1: 

The participant must like the Day 1 giveaway post, tag a friend in the comments, and answer the question before the day ends (11:59 p.m. EST). 

In order to qualify to win the prize on Day 2: 

The participant must like the Day 2 giveaway post, tag a friend in the comments, and answer the question before the day ends (11:59 p.m. EST). 

In order to qualify to win the grand prize on Day 24: 

The participant must like the Day 24 giveaway post, tag a friend in the comments, and answer the question before the day ends (11:59 p.m. EST). 

*Participants will also be automatically entered into the Day 24 giveaway regardless of their participation in the post IF they have joined any of the giveaway events posted from December 1-23, 2021.

9. Each participant may submit multiple entries. 

10. Each participant may submit entries in each of the 24 giveaway posts. 

Who Can Enter 

11. Entry into this giveaway is limited to Canadian residents only. 

12. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, before the start date of the Giveaway. 

13. The Giveaway is not open to employees of Canada Computers & Electronics (“the Sponsor”) and their immediate family (spouse, parents, and step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, and children and step-children) and household members (people who share the same residence for at least three (3) months out of the year) of each such employee are not eligible. 

14. The Giveaway is not open to employees of the Sponsors (SEAGATE, THRUSTMASTER, WD, LOGITECH, CORSAIR, GIGABYTE, HIKVISION, DEEPCOOL, KINGSTON, ACER, INTEL, HUAWEI, ACER, INWIN, MADCATZ, & MSI) and their immediate family (spouse, parents and step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, and children and step-children) and household members (people who share the same residence for at least three (3) months out of the year) of each such employee are not eligible. 

Giveaway Period  

15. Entries may be made from 10:00:00 a.m. EST to 11:59:59 p.m. EST on the day of the posting (the “Giveaway Period”). The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Giveaway Period, the Giveaway or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of the Giveaway Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. 

Prize   

16. More than 50 prizes will be given away with a total prize value (approximate retail) of over $5,000.00 CAD. The prizes are revealed on the day of the giveaway post. 

17. Prizes are not transferable. No cash or other substitutes for prizes are available, except by Sponsor, who reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute different prizes of equal or greater value should the prizes be unavailable for any reason (including without limitation export restrictions and product availability). Each prize must be accepted as awarded to the winner and may not be sold. The odds of winning a prize are dependent on the number of eligible giveaway participants participating in the giveaway.  

Winner Confirmation, Prize Notification, and Delivery 

18. Canada Computers will collect and consolidate all the entries from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter once the submission period closes every day at 11:59:59PM EST. For each day’s giveaway event, one (1) or more winners will be randomly picked from the consolidated social media entries. There will be more than 50 winners. ALL selected participant(s) will be notified and announced the next day after the giveaway posting on Canada Computers social media channel(s). Each participant may only win one (1) prize. The announcement and instructions for prize pick-up will be sent directly to the winners. The selected Participant(s) will be required to correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question, to be eligible to receive the prize. Selected Participant(s) will also be required to sign and return to the Sponsor, within fourteen (14) days of the date notice is sent, a liability/publicity release to claim his/her prize. Each Participant(s) is responsible for monitoring his/her social media accounts for prize notification or other communications related to this giveaway. If the selected Participant(s) cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 10 days of winner notification, the prize will be forfeited. If the selected Participant(s) fails to sign and return the liability/publicity release within the required period, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the selected Participant forfeits the prize and the initial selected Participant will have no further recourse against the Sponsor or any person or company associated with this Giveaway.  

Publicity   

19. Except where prohibited by applicable law, participation in the Giveaway constitutes winner's consent to Sponsor's use of his/her name and city of residence, likeness, photograph, statements made by the winner about the Giveaway, Sponsor, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration. 

Privacy 

20. Participation in the Giveaway involves the collection and transfer of Participant's personal data, including participant's first name, last name, physical address, email address, and/ or telephone number as provided by Participant for purposes of administration of the Giveaway and such personal data will be stored on Sponsor's system. Thus, the Participant's participation in this Giveaway constitutes the Participant's consent to the use of such personal data. 

Release 

21. To the extent permitted by applicable law, by receipt of any prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/ promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collective, the "Release Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the promotion or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. The Released Parties are not responsible for any products or services offered by third parties. 

General Conditions 

22. Participation in the Giveaway constitutes acceptance and agreement to these official Giveaway rules. 

23. All entries become the property of the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failures, sabotage, security breach, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Giveaway as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such an event, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other Giveaway or an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to alter any Giveaway rules at any time. Decisions of the Sponsor in respect of any aspect of the Giveaway are final and binding on all Participants. 

24. This promotional Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Facebook and Facebook will be released of all liability. 

25. This promotional Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Instagram and Instagram will be released of all liability. 

26. This promotional Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Twitter and Twitter will be released of all liability. 

27. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and is void where prohibited by law. If any provision of these rules is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.
