For a cheap enclosure, it does the job it's designed to. It's sustained speeds are nowhere close to USB 3.2 Gen. 2.

There are much better ones and if it's in your budget, I would get the other brands.

Works great! Grabbed a M.2 nvme to go with it. Now have a fast 1TB portable drive. Just wish it came with USB-C to USB-A cable.

Works as advertised.
To hold the M.2 SSD in place it uses little rubber nubbins that pop out of their holes easily. This is a bit annoying but you can hold the SSD in more securely by self-tapping an M.2 screw into the hole intended for the nubbin.

With both my laptop and desktop, I haven't seen a speed over 50 Mbps which is much slower than I expected. Since I trashed the packaging, couldn't return it. It was a waste of money for me.

I bought a new Western Digital drive and installed it into this enclosure with the intention of cloning my current drive onto the new WD drive while in the enclosure. IT DID NOT WORK. The Lenovo bios found the drive. Windows 10 found the drive and copied files to the drive. A few disk cloning / management programs failed to find or clone this drive while in the enclosure. On the positive side… It is a clean tidy unit that is simple to use as a usb storage medium. I will keep it.. I will keep it.
