WD are always good , i wish it was on more valuable sale , 5$ is not a big deal. Also i wish the pricd good be done for 4gb instead of 2

It made me download some software to use it which is kind of annoying but I'd rather use it than not, for fear of corruption of files. You can register the device through the software.

Did not work right out of the box - $101.69 wasted. No instructions in the box or to download off of WD website, and complicated setup. "Ready to deliver plug-and-play storage out of the box" as per the WD website promise is simply not the true. I own two other drives from two different companies and have not seen any thing like this. (Purchased it July 14, 2023 - only got around to trying today Sept 2 because I had to leave the country, so I'm out of luck returning it.)
