Kingston is a world leader in memory devices.
The kingston A400 ticks all the boxes for speed and interface. SA400S37/480G is priced reasonably with slightly less capacity than the 500gb drives. Expect triple the boot performance usually around 20seconds.

Use for USB 3.0 external SSD

From its datasheet, it clearly lists the Power Consumption of this drive.

0.195W Idle / 0.279W Avg / 0.642W (Max) Read / 1.535W (Max) Write

If it draws power from 5V USB 3.0 port, then it uses 0.04A to 0.3A @ 5V.

Because it provides power consumption information, therefore I choose this product for external USB SSD.

Why choose external USB SSD instead of USB flash drive?
It is because Flash drive don't support recycle bin in Windows which recognise as removable, not disk.
