It is approximately twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5, and up to 9.5 times faster than a traditional external hard disk drive. The T7 Shield supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption to keep the data safe and secure, even if the T7 Shield is lost. Plus, it provides access to Samsung's Magician Software, which lets users conveniently manage the drive.

It also has an IP65 rating, providing dust and water resistance. The high-tech rubber exterior with Dynamic Thermal Guard controls heat to maintain steady performance even for large projects. The stylish rubberized grip prevents slips. Even though it has a rugged design, the T7 Shield is still compact and lightweight, weighing just 3.5 ounces.

The read & write speeds are around 800-900 MB per second which is fast enough but the MacOS software for managing doesn’t work at all & upon research regarding it it seems to involve a lot of steps which I don’t wanna go through so just using it as is
