Smooth as a butter

Reviewed by: Ahmed
Extremely well designed mouse. Precise clicking, moving and scrolling. The size is great too. Works well on Windows 10 without the need to install the software.
The coloring style on the logo that comes by default I didn't like. It is all colors rotated. Well, not my type. I wish if it was just a solid color right out of the box. Didn't bother installing the software just to change that. Not a big deal though.
Overall is a great gaming mouse. I will come back in few months if anything goes wrong.

Smooth on Windows like the Magic Mouse on the Mac.

Smoothness, look and feel.
Finding the driver on their site. Lack of smooth scrolling.
I do graphic and motion design full time so I needed a quality mouse that didn’t hinder productivity. I do a lot of closecropping with the pen tool in Photoshop, vector work with Illustrator and rotoscoping using masks in After Effects. But not enough to get a Wacom tablet. BOTH of my 2 Logitech M500 mice started with the phantom left clicks and my $120 Razer just started doing the same!

I just bought the Sensei Ten yesterday so I can’t say that it’s not going to happen with this one as well, but I can say that this mouse feels great. I decided to turn my back on Logitech, even though they are supposed to have the best mice for what I do but faulty mechanics and discrimination against lefties lost me as a return customer.

The Steelseries Sensei Ten is just the right size, feel and quality. The clicking feels natural; not too light and not too hard. I wish it had smooth scrolling like my M500. But I love the simple design; it looks very elegant and modern. There are complaints that it’s too slippery, but I don’t think so. The tracking on my Windows 10 machine is smoother than my other mice, this has always been my problem with this OS, it always felt cheap, even with expensive mice. I could almost say that it’s just as good as a Magic Mouse on the mac.

I was able to download the driver, but it wasn’t clear on where it was on their site. I was expecting a “Drivers” or “Downloads” section. They have this app called “GG Client” under the “Software” tab along with 3 other tabs so I chose that since it’s the 1st one. That was what I needed to configure the buttons, lights and CPI but they could have made it more intuitive to find it on their site.

One problem I had with the Razer is when I switched to my Mac, the CPI felt like it was set to 100,000 so I had to switch to my magic mouse. But it’s great with this Sensei Ten.
Another thing I hated about Razer is they spammed the crap out of me after I registered with emails and popups on my desktop, so I was hesitant to do the same with Steelseries. I had to register in order to configure the mouse, but they seem to be leaving me alone so I appreciate that.

So overall, I’m happy with this thing (so far). If Canada Computers allows it, I will try to report back after one year of use.
