Most complete Z690 board at $300 mark

70A power stages with hefty VRM cooling and M.2 cooling, 4x M.2 slots, high end Realtek 4080 audio (that does not have electrical noise during gaming!), Intel 2.5G LAN/Wifi 6/BT, a good number of USB 3 5Gbps/10Gbps/20Gbps ports on both front and rear i/o, the most extensive memory support from any board maker, 6x SATA ports for those using it as a media server, and a good amount of fan headers and front I/O headers

Wifi 6 and not 6E, poor placement of SATA ports, No RGB, lacking number of M.2 22110 slots (the extra long kind).

It is the most complete Z690 board in this price bracket. One that is almost guaranteed to work without issues with memory support, poor audio, or poor cooling.

Aesthetic wise this is one of the cleanest looking MOBOs in its price range, if RGB isnt your thing the sleek blacked out aluminium finish would be perfect for any build. In terms of features there is nothing out of the ordinary, an extra M.2 slot(there is a total of 4) is definetly a pleasant addition so theres plenty of room for memory expansion. Also worth noting that M.2 Slot 1 supports both 22x80 and 22x110 drive. And ofcourse the PCI 5 Slot is definetly nice to have for future proofing, but if youre really concerned about that pickup the DDR5 version of this board. The overall build quality is sturdy as this is a pretty heavy board with its massive shroud and VRAM heatsinks, but even instaling a NH-D15S wasnt as sketchy as I thought it would be at first. I havent had a chance to extensivly test out CPU and Memory overclocking on this board but there is a lot of great material online you can find regarding that subject on this board.

The positioning of SATA ports is awkawrd to say the least, cable managment could be quite difficult depending on size of your case.

In short this is by far my favorite Z690 board in the current price range in both asthetics and its features. Theres nothing out of the ordinary, a solid mid range board with no unecessary features.

This is the second Tomahawk motherboard I've purchased (Z390 first) and it's just as good. All you need right now - DDR5 still uncessary. Couple with the 12900K it's amazing and the all black stealthy no RGB design is fantastic!
