Back-up Power and Surge Protection for Low-Power Devices
For smaller electronics, the BE425M provides peace of mind when the power goes out. Ideal for keeping your internet router running when the rest of your home loses power.
Wireless Router & IOT Devices
Stay connected via the internet when your power goes out. That wifi signal can still be available if your router is connected to a UPS.
Laptops or low-power devices
Give yourself the time to save documents and gracefully shut down your laptop without the harsh impact on your electronics of a sudden power loss.
DVR
Don't let a power flux interrupt the recording of your favorite show! Connect an APC UPS to ensure blip-free recording.
Television and Cablebox
For higher powered items like LCD televisions, a higher VA UPS is recommended (BE850M2, or BE600M1).

This is usually the least expensive UPS on the shelves and yet it performs well. Super easy to install, light for a UPS, but keeps the computer running long enough to protect it.

A basic UPS from a mainstream company. Reliable protection for our NAS and router. And yes, the battery is replaceable.

In terms of backups, APC indeed is a dependable brand. Despite not being the best, at least it still performs well. It has a sufficient battery with surge protection for your initial setup. Also, this is a really cost-effective option.

Good price and does the job. I have 2 of these.
Old design? It is blocky in shape
Good product, works as expected. Not sure why the other reviewer says that the battery on this unit is not replaceable, as this is incorrect information (a replacement is about 25$).

APC is usually a great brand.
On p. 8 of the manual is the reason why you should NOT buy this model: The battery in the Back-UPS is not user-replaceable.
Why buy a disposable when you can buy something better? (i.e. A model with a replaceable battery like every other APC I've bought.)
